IGN 2005 Interview...
IGN Babes: Okay, where's home?
KT So: I have too many homes. I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I moved here to the states and had been living in Los Angeles area. I moved around lots, though.
IGN Babes: Wow. So did you ever speak English with a British accent, being from Hong Kong?
So: I had somewhat of an accent, but most people can't pick out where the accent is from.
IGN Babes: Do you still speak any Chinese Dialects?
So: Oh yeah, I speak Cantonese, and understand some Mandarin.
IGN Babes: Is it true what they say, about forgetting how to write more and more of it the longer you're away?
So: That is very true in my case. I never liked Chinese as a subject in school anyway, so once I moved here, my Chinese writing skills seemed to have stayed back in Hong Kong.
IGN Babes: *laughs* Nice. So what got you started in modeling?
So: Peer pressure from friends is what really got me into modeling. My friends and I had been going to car shows long before I started modeling. Once I started building my portfolio up, I got job offers. One thing leads to the next and here I am.
IGN Babes: So you were going to car shows anyways... are you into cars at all?
So: I was into cars. I knew nothing about them when I first started going to shows, but I went because of the cars for sure. I sure didn't go there to see the models. *laughs*
IGN Babes: Well the boys are just acting like they're there to see the cars.
So: Oh yeah, especially HIN shows.
IGN Babes: Which is where we met you: at the Los Angeles show earlier this year. How does the LA show compare to shows in other parts of the country? Any big differences?
So: We tend to have lots and lots of models going to all the LA shows since so many of us live in or around the area. There's a difference in the crowd also, depending on which part of the country the show's at.
IGN Babes: What's it like in, say, the midwest?
So: At night shows, people tend to get more rowdy and rude. I guess they think they can get away with it 'cuz it's dark.
